Two days ago, I released one heck of an Effort belief manifesto. If you’re interested in helping your students to believe that they can get better at the art or discipline you want to help them get better at, take a look at that thing. And please — share it with anyone you think it’d help, and feel free to print off a million copies for your next staff meeting. Any time you share my work, it’s the biggest favor in the world to me because it’s something that I literally can’t do like you can do it. You keep doing the sharing, colleague, and I’ll keep pecking away at this old computer.
Now today, I just want to hit a quick refrain that’s worth tuning into one more time: why “praise the process, not the person” isn’t as simple as it sounds.
And because I’m trying to publish more of my ideas on YouTube this school year, we’ll do this one via video.
I do hope you enjoy.
All the best to you, colleague,
DSJR
