Dear colleague,
This school year, I'd like to invite you into a series of month-long explorations. Whenever I do this, let's remember a few things:
- These are invitations, not challenges. They are get-to‘s, not have-to‘s.
- Each invitation will focus on a high-yield, high-efficiency teacher tool that I write about in The Will to Learn. (Reading along in the book is recommended but not required.)
- What I'm always after is this: more learning, less stress. If an invitation strikes you as too stressful, just ignore it. There is such a thing as too much stress.
- When working with the monthly focus tool, do just two things:
- When you use the tool, keep track. (I'll be explicit about how to do this simply.)
- As you're going through the month, make note of any student motivation changes you see.
Super simple. Super good. Slow yet steady growth in a reliable direction. That's what we're after.
For this month's invitation, check out the video below.
